Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumers Home or Place of Work etc Regulations 2008
Under these Regulations, if you buy goods or services costing more than £35 from a trader who calls to your home or workplace then you generally have seven days to change your mind and cancel the contract. In such circumstances, the seller must give you written details of your cancellation rights along with a cancellation form. Failure to do so is a criminal offence and the contract cannot be enforced against you, although there are some exceptions.
