Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
These regulations give consumers rights when they shop via the Internet, TV or telephone or from a catalogue or magazine. Consumers are entitled to clear information – before they order – about the supplier’s name/address, cost of the goods, delivery costs and arrangements, how to pay and how to cancel. These regulations entitle customers to cancel an order within 7 working days (the first day being the day after you receive the goods) and to a full refund if the goods or services are not delivered within 30 days. Certain items, such as perishable goods like flowers and fresh food and personalised goods, cannot be returned.
